Spring was really good to me with a lovely concert in Heerlen, The Netherlands for The Southern Blues Night. The whole day was amazing. Tom Attah and I met after his Blue Windmill Tour, the day began with a live session on Dutch Blues Radio, meeting Jim Byrne, Albert Castiglia,Tail Dragger, Blues lady Katherine Davis, Lucky Peterson and Tamara Peterson. Tom and I were the only UK act and we were looked after so well it was an amazing time.

Then in the merry month of May more fun with a trip to Scotland, where i was welcomed by some very fine musicians from Jock’s Juke Joint. We played the Thornhill Festival to a packed room, joined by guests including harmonica player Al Price (who I have invited to join us on The Kirk Fletcher UK Tour this Autmn) On the sunday we played with a whole cast of talented Scottish musicians at a Bar in Glasgow called Rockus, musicians including Gus Monro, Neil Wilson and so many local musical legends – I really felt at home like a long-lost Blues Sister!. Thankyou to guitarist Iain Gibney and Bassist Kenny Gair for putting the mini tour together and the brilliant hospitality I received, I can’t wait to return.

ImageLater in the Month Dudley Ross and I made our way to The Hebden Blues Festival in North Yorkshire where, again we had a blast. We met with so many great musicians, DJ’s and fans from the UK Blues Scene it was a party atmosphere. We played a set on the saturday on The Salem Electric Stage, and later I was invited to jam with a whole host of great contemporary Blues Musicians. I had great fun leaving my mark on this impromptu appearance.

We finished off our tour with a trip to The Blues Bar Harrogate, which was brilliant fun – handsomely decorated with murals of Blues men and women – it wasn’t  long until the joint filled and we were Letting the good times roll..

So over the coming months the fun doesn’t stop. Far too much to mention in a short read like this (check my website for shows)

But here are some highlights coming up:
