The Chris Corcoran Trio:
Chris Corcoran is currently featured in this months Guitarist Magazine UK. The Trio are a dynamic instrumental group who perform jazz, blues, swing, funk and surf music. The trio all cut their teeth and earned reputations on the London Blues scene and are now considered top players in their field. Chris Corcoran has unique tone and style come from years of performing with his beaten up old Broadway guitar equipped with extra thick flat-wound strings that make most other guitar players weep.
“Chris Corcoran is the business” – Blues in Britain Magazine.
‘Looks like a fifties college kid gone bad – sounds like BB King.’Jazz On The Streets
The trio only ever comprises of the best musicians, more often including the fantastic talents of Jamie Lawrence – Bass : Jamie is one of the busiest upright bass players in the country. After learning the ropes from his Dad (also a bass player who recorded with Dusty Springfield) Jamie’s name is usually on the band list for most of the London Blues scene’s most exciting bands.
Peter Greatorex –Drums Peter is one of the most dynamic drummers on the Blues scene today. Peter is constantly in demand, and of the finest class as he also plays for Mud Morganfield (son of Muddy Waters) and British Blues King, Big Joe Louis.
Katie is in her element when she performs with these musicians, and the audience feel it. Look out for the forthcoming album this year by following Katie via @Bluesykate (Twitter) and Katie Sings the Blues (Facebook)
