Chris Corcoran Trio
Chris Corcoran Trio are a dynamic instrumental group who perform jazz, blues, swing, funk and surf music. The trio all cut their teeth and earned reputations on the London Blues scene and are now considered top players in their field.
Chris Corcoran has unique tone and style come from years of performing with his beaten up old Broadway guitar equipped with extra thick flat-wound strings that make most other guitar players weep.
“Chris Corcoran is the business”
– Blues in Britain Magazine.
‘Looks like a fifties college kid gone bad – sounds like BB King.’
Jazz On The Streets
‘One of those rare, gifted guitarists who truly understands the rich, authentic flavours of the rocking vintage guitar’
Jamie Lawrence – Bass is one of the busiest upright bass players in the country. After learning the ropes from his Dad (also a bass player who recorded with Dusty Springfield) Jamie’s name is usually on the band list for most of the London Blues scene’s most exciting bands. He also works with the very funky Jetricks who are signed to Legere Records and has made a number of TV appearances, most recently in the BBC drama ‘Call The Midwife’.
Rob Pokorny – Drums is one of London’s up and coming stars. His unique feel and style of drumming has ensured he is one of the busiest and most called upon drummers of his generation. 2011 saw Rob nominated in the British Blues Awards Best Drummer category.
